Experience
Luxury Crewed Yacht Charters
The full white-glove experience — captain, chef, water toys, chilled rosé, and an itinerary built around exactly how you like to travel.
A luxury crewed charter is the easiest holiday we sell. You decide each morning where you'd like to be that afternoon — Mustique for sundowners, the Tobago Cays for an overnight under the stars, Bequia for a long lunch ashore — and the captain and chef take care of the rest.
Most weeks settle into a gentle rhythm: a morning swim, a short sail to the next island, lunch on the back deck, an afternoon at anchor, sundowners and dinner ashore (or on board — your call). No queues, no schedules, no driving home.
What's included
Every crewed charter we book includes the basics below. The chef plans menus with you before you arrive, and the captain takes care of every fee and form between islands.
Captain
An experienced local captain who knows every anchorage and reef in the Grenadines.
Chef on board
All meals prepared on board, with menus tailored to your group before you arrive.
Water toys
Snorkel gear, paddleboards and kayaks as standard; seabob and foils on most larger yachts.
Tender
A proper RIB tender for shore trips, waterskiing and exploring quiet anchorages.
Fees handled
Mooring fees, marine park fees and inter-island clearance — all taken care of by the captain.
Provisioning
Starter bar and full provisioning included; we'll match drinks and dietary needs to your group.
A day on board

Morning at anchor
Wake up in a turquoise bay. Coffee on deck, a swim before breakfast, then a chat with the captain about where the wind suggests heading next.

Lunch under way
A relaxed crossing between islands — paddleboard alongside in the lee, fresh fish or salad served on the back deck as you sail.

Sundowners ashore
Drop the hook off Mustique, the Tobago Cays or Bequia. Sundowners on deck, dinner ashore at a beach bar, then back on board under the stars.
Crewed vs bareboat — what you actually pay for
Crewed charters look far more expensive on the headline rate. Once you add a skipper, provisioning, meals ashore, fuel and island fees to a bareboat week, the gap is usually 30–40% — and a chef, captain and full water-toy locker come with it.
| What it covers | Bareboat | Crewed |
|---|---|---|
| Yacht for the week | Included | Included |
| Skipper / captain | ≈ $250 per day extra | Included |
| Chef and all meals on board | You shop, cook and wash up | Included (in APA) |
| Restaurant meals ashore | Most nights | Only when you fancy it |
| Mooring and marine park fees | You pay at each island | Handled by the captain |
| Water toys and tender | Basic snorkel gear | Paddleboards, kayaks, tender, often seabob |
| Clearance and paperwork | Yours to organise | Handled by the captain |

Frequently asked
How much does a crewed charter cost?+
A typical crewed catamaran for 6–8 guests starts at around $25,000 per week plus expenses. Larger or motor yachts go up from there.
Is everything included in the weekly rate?+
The yacht, crew, fuel for normal sailing and the water toys are included. Food, drinks, fuel for long motoring legs and shore meals are billed as an APA (Advance Provisioning Allowance) of around 30%.
Can we plan the itinerary in advance?+
Yes — we sketch a route with you before the charter and the captain fine-tunes it each morning based on weather and what you'd like to do.
How many guests can sleep on board?+
Most crewed yachts in our fleet sleep 2–10 guests in 2–5 guest cabins. Larger yachts sleep up to 12.
How much does a crewed charter cost per person?+
For a crewed catamaran sleeping 8, a typical week works out around $4,000–$5,500 per person including the yacht, captain, chef, all meals on board and the water toys. Smaller groups pay more per head; larger yachts with more crew cost more again.
Is a crewed charter much more expensive than bareboat?+
Less than most people expect. Once you add a skipper, provisioning, restaurant meals ashore, mooring and marine park fees and fuel to a bareboat week, the real gap to a fully crewed yacht is often 30–40% — for which you get a chef, a captain who knows every reef, and no cooking, cleaning or navigating.
What is an APA and how much should we budget?+
The Advance Provisioning Allowance covers food, drinks, fuel and shore fees. Budget around 25–30% of the charter fee, paid before you board. Anything unspent is returned to you at the end of the week.
Do we tip the crew, and how much?+
Tipping is customary but never obligatory. Guests usually leave 10–15% of the charter fee, given to the captain at the end of the week to share with the crew.
Do we get any privacy with crew on board?+
Yes. Crew have their own cabins and heads, forward or in a separate hull, and they read the room — present when you want them, invisible when you don't. Meals can be served whenever you like, and the crew happily disappear ashore for an evening.
Can we choose the menu?+
The chef sends a preference sheet before you arrive covering favourite dishes, allergies, kids' food and drink choices, then plans menus around it — from beach BBQs and fresh-caught mahi to a formal last-night dinner.
Do we need any sailing experience?+
None at all. No licence, no experience, nothing to organise. Crewed charters suit first-timers, multi-generational families and anyone who simply wants to be looked after.
