Canouan
Beach club polish with empty bays a mile away
Canouan combines the polish of Mandarin Oriental and the Soho Beach House with anchorages that still feel undiscovered. Tie up in Charlestown Bay, lunch at the Pink Sands beach club, then sail two miles to a deserted bay for the afternoon.
Canouan has spectacular beaches and stunning walks. The northern part is dominated by a resort hotel but Charlestown Bay is the main anchorage. The Tamarind Beach Hotel has rental mules for exploring the town and their Saturday night BBQ is worth a stopover — call them to reserve as they are normally very busy.
