When is the best time to charter in the Grenadines?
The Grenadines charter season runs from late November through early August, with December to April being the headline months for steady trade winds, low humidity, and an average air temperature of around 28°C.
December and January bring the busiest weeks — particularly Christmas, New Year, and the half-term break — and the strongest trades, often 18-22 knots. Book at least six months ahead for these dates.
February through April is, in our view, the sweet spot. The Christmas crowd has gone, winds settle into a comfortable 15-18 knots, and the islands feel quieter without giving up any of the weather.
May, June, and early July are shoulder season — lighter winds, lower rates, and only the occasional passing shower. Hurricane season formally begins in June but the southern Caribbean sees little impact until much later.
